What our mission means
Wijdan Charity Association is a non-governmental humanitarian organisation, founded in Istanbul under Turkey's law on associations. We support and fund charitable and development projects in regions affected by war and disaster.
Our mission rests on a simple conviction: nobody can ease the effects of war and disaster alone. Every donor, volunteer and partner who takes part becomes part of the response, and together we reach families that no single effort could reach.
Where we work
- Turkey: orphan sponsorship, support for schooling, winter relief and seasonal projects.
- Palestine: urgent medical relief, repairing homes and food baskets.
- Syria: building residential villages, bread and water, and medical centres.
- Yemen: fighting malnutrition, providing water and supporting families in need.
- Africa: drilling wells, building mosques and schools, and eye operations.
- Afghanistan: urgent relief, support for schooling and empowerment projects.
