This policy explains what personal data Wijdan Charity Association collects through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Wijdan Charity Association (Vicdan Derneği) is the data controller for the personal data described here. Our address is Kayabaşı, Adnan Menderes Bulvarı Kuzey Yakası Ofisleri B5 Blok, K3, No. 69, Başakşehir / İstanbul, Türkiye. You can reach us at Contact@wijdancharity.org or on +90 212 486 08 09.
What we collect
- When you donate: your name and email address and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, country and a message. We also record the amount, the project you chose and whether you asked to give anonymously.
- When you contact us: your name, email address, phone number if given, the subject and your message. We also record the IP address the message was sent from, to protect the form against abuse.
- When you browse, if you allow it: anonymous information about how the site is used, such as which pages and articles are read, for how long and how far down, the type of device, browser and language, and the page you came from. This is linked to a random identifier, not to your name, email address or IP address.
Card payments
Card details are entered on the secure 3D Secure payment page of our banking partner, Ziraat Katılım. Your card number, expiry date and security code are never sent to, processed by or stored on this website. The bank tells us only whether the payment succeeded, together with a transaction reference.
How we use your data
- To process your donation and allocate it to the project you chose.
- To send your receipt and confirmation email. Your receipt is also available at any time through a private link.
- To reply to your messages.
- To meet our accounting, audit and legal obligations.
- With your consent, to understand which of our work people read and to suggest related projects and articles.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share it only as far as is needed to run the service: with our banking partner to process payments, with our email and hosting providers to operate the website, and with public authorities where the law requires it.
Two external services are used when pages load: fonts are served by Google Fonts, and embedded videos are provided by YouTube. These services receive your IP address and may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
Cookies
- Session cookie (essential): keeps the donation form, your basket and your language choice working. It is deleted when you close your browser.
- Consent cookie (essential):

We do not use advertising cookies. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set.
How long we keep it
Donation records are kept for as long as financial and legal regulations require. Anonymous browsing data is deleted automatically after 90 days. Contact messages are kept only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry.
Keeping your data safe
The website runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to personal data is limited to authorised staff.
Your rights
Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, No. 6698), you may ask whether we process your personal data, request a copy of it, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its processing. To make a request, write to us at Contact@wijdancharity.org. We will reply within the time the law allows.
Changes to this policy
If we change the way we handle personal data, we will update this page.
